For anyone who wants a glimpse of what it takes to be a professional cyclist, the Garmin readout from David Millar's winning individual time trial ride in De Panne makes for interesting reading. Whilst sipping my morning cup of tea I can't quite work out what is more impressive; the superhuman power output or the flatline heart rate that runs so close to maximum capacity.
